Hargraves Public School is the oldest small school west of the Great Dividing Range. Established in 1856, the school is situated in shady grounds with a grassy playing field, ball court and covered outdoor learning area. The School’s 150th anniversary was celebrated in 2006. There are two classrooms, an administration building, a well equipped library, office and an historic church annexed to the main building. The school is a focal point of the Hargraves Village.
